IN-TELLIGENT SOUND INTEGRATES WITH CatapultEMS MOBILE TO ENSURE SCHOOL OFFICIALS AND TEACHERS RECEIVE EMERGENCY NOTIFICATIONS

Emergency school communication platform, CatapultEMS, has partnered with In-telligent to create a more effective and robust communications solution for schools. One of In-telligent’s innovations, the In-telligent Sound Element, is a patented technology that ensures users receive an audible notification of time-sensitive messages, even when a phone is silenced. This feature is now being integrated into the soon-to-be released CatapultEMS mobile app, which will send emergency and time-critical communications to officials and teachers within schools and school districts.

CatapultEMS is a platform used by school and district officials to develop an emergency communication plan that is clear and centralized, and provides critical information to teachers, individual school sites, district administrators and law enforcement when urgent situations arise. With real-time student accounting, reunification, staff location check-ins, threat report management, and the new mobile app, Catapult is a comprehensive and dependable cloud-based system.

When designing its soon-to-be launched mobile app, Catapult knew that it had to override the notification settings on iOS and Android smartphones to be effective. Teachers often have their phones set to silent during classroom instruction, and without In-telligent Sound, a critical message would likely be missed. In-telligent Sound ensures that teachers will hear the audible notification, immediately check their phones for directions and then take the appropriate action keeping students as safe as possible.

“CapultEMS is an incredibly powerful and useful school communication tool. With the integration of our In-telligent Sound Element, their mobile app will be even more valuable in the education arena,” said Allan Sutherland, Founder and CEO of In-telligent. “We are very excited to partner with them to make time-critical notifications an effective aspect of every school’s emergency communications program.”
