A hurricane-strength nor'easter blizzard, unofficially known as "White Juan," pummEled Nova Scotia and other parts of canada in February of 2004, bringing winds of 124 km/hr and up to 96 cm of snow to some areas. Thundersnow and snow accumulation rates of 5 cm/hr were reported by some weather stations. the devastating storm lasted multiple days for many.
