In-telligent requests location permission to allow us to target alerts to you when you’re in a threatened area. Auto-connecting is a feature of In-telligent that needs your location as well. With In-telligent on your phone, if you enter an “In-telligent area” by breaking a group’s geo-fence, you will be automatically subscribed to that group.

The app may ask for microphone permissions which are needed for VoIP calling between subscribers and groups within certain groups on the platform). The microphone is only used when this feature is activated by you.

Android phones will ask for flashlight permissions, which are used to flash the flashlight when a time-sensitive, critical, or life-threatening alert is issued.

No, we don’t track you or install cookies. That would go against our privacy statement and founding principles. The app is meant to keep you safer and informed. Tracking and selling info would make people feel less safe.

(1) If your organization utilizes the In-telligent app or a custom-built app for messaging, you’ll be responsible for getting your tenants, employees, visitors, members, guests, residents and/or fans to download the app and, if applicable, helping them connect to your In-telligent group. This way, your subscribers can start receiving information and alerts directly from you.  If your organization integrates our technology in to your own communication platform, you’ll be responsible for marketing your new In-telligent features.

(2) Once your organization is set up on the app or has integrated our technology, you are responsible for pushing out time-sensitive information and emergency alerts. Obviously, these two responsibilities work in symmetry, allowing you to keep those who are dependant on you safer and informed.

Once your partnership is finalized, you’ll have full access to our technical support, marketing, and customer service teams. We don’t set you up and then forget about you!  Instead, we are committed to ensuring your full satisfaction with our platform.

The app is available on both Android and iOS platforms through the Play Store and App Store. You must have Android 7.0+ or Apple 9.0+ to operate the app.

As with any app, we have to utilize a small amount of battery to run the app. We use less power than your Phone application, and just about any other application on your mobile device. You should not have a noticeable reduction in battery life after downloading In-telligent.

We reside in the memory of your phone as an app that is constantly working in the background. We have worked with Apple and Google to get that memory usage as small as possible so that it doesn’t affect any other application running on your device.

We don’t push ads. Our only revenue source is the small banner ads that run along the bottom of the app.

The app runs on Apple 9.0+ or Android 5.0+. In-telligent might look simple in design, but it is an incredibly sophisticated program that has been optimized to minimize battery and memory use. They are currently looking for a solution to allow users with older devices to work on the platform.

Unfortunately, Apple and Google are very strict and like most newer apps on the market, In-telligent needs to run on certain operating system in order to work properly. If possible, please update your operating system to one that is compatible.

Yes, In-telligent currently operates on phones and tablets only. We are exploring the possibility of expanding to desktops/laptops in the future.

The app may be force closing because your cache is full. Make sure to close apps that are not in use, including force closing In-telligent when you are done using it. A benefit of In-telligent is that even when you close In-telligent, it still works in the background so you will always be connected and informed.

You must have your location services on for auto-connection and disconnection to function properly.

You can filter by, and interact with, various group types on In-telligent.

Organizations – Businesses, municipalities, special interest groups, administrations, and other entities that send out alerts. How you can contact them varies by group.

Helplines and Hotlines – Emergency support groups that you can reach in times of crisis, such as domestic abuse and sexual assault helplines.  For your protection, calls made to these numbers are private, non-trackable, and don’t show up on call records.

You can set up private groups with loved ones that allow you to override their silent setting or find their location in an emergency.  This tutorial will walk you though the process of setting up/managing a PC:    

Yes.  Without In-telligent, your loved one cannot join your PC, or receive messages from you.

Yes!  Personal Communities are great for work, teams, leadership, and other groups that have a need for first and fast communication between each other.

Tapping the location symbol next to a PC member’s name will allow you to pinpoint their location on a map.  Unlike Find My Friends, which only works on Apple devices, FindMe works on both Apple and Android devices that have In-telligent.

No, the app can be used by anyone who wants to stay informed about a specific group. By downloading the In-telligent app and connecting to a group, you’ll immediately gain access to critical alerts from In-telligent, along with other information from that group.

No, the In-telligent app is free to everyone. We want you and anyone interested in the app to stay informed. Putting a monetary requirement around sharing this information goes against keeping people safer and more informed.

1) Launch the app on your Apple or Android device

2) Click the Groups Tab on the bottom left side of the App

3) In the Search Bar (at the top of the screen), type in the group name.

By the time that you get the first few words in the name typed in, the group should show up. Simply click, “Connect” and you are all good to go.

In-telligent is professional network of people and businesses and you’re in control of who you connect to. If a group you connect to is sending messages that you don’t like, you can simply disconnect from them. Our business partners benefit from you connecting to them, so it’s their best interest to use their good judgement when sending messages to you to keep you from disconnecting.

You will receive push notifications when you’re located directly in an affected area at the time a severe weather alert is issued, when entering a threatened area during an active alert, or when lightening has struck the ground within 5 mi/8 km of your location. You won’t receive messages for weather that’s just in your general vicinity. Received messages mean a threat is real, it’s imminent, it’s going to affect you. You’re in the danger zone and need to take action. Alerts are received even if cell towers are down!  

Under the Groups tab, you will see a list of Suggested Groups at the top. You will be recommended certain groups based on your location and other groups you are connected to.  You have the choice to Connect to or Dismiss any suggestions.

When pressed, the red SOS button populates your current country’s emergency assistance number, allowing you to instantly reach help.

The In-telligent app will override your silent setting in critical and life-threatening situations. To silence any override alerts that come through, click the main menu and turn on Total Silence at the bottom.  Any alerts that come through will still be available in your Inbox, they just won’t override silent.

Yes, you can manage when you receive alerts from a group by adjusting the settings under the main menu > Settings > Notifications.  

Click the trashcan icon to delete a message.  If you have previously saved this message, it will still remain in your saved messages folder.  At this time, only one message can be deleted at a time.

You can contact Group Managers and emergency support/assistance under this tab.  Simply select the group you want to contact and your method of contact (message or VoIP call).

Emergency messages will show up immediately as a phone call using our text-to-voice technology.  Messages, whether listened to or not, will always appear in the user’s Inbox to be referred back to later, if needed.

Non-urgent alerts will come through with your phone’s default notification sound (or no sound if your phone is on silent).  Urgent alerts will carry an audible notification that bypasses silent and do not disturb settings.  Additionally, these urgent alerts will be immediately preceded by a phone call using our text-to-voice technology. Messages, whether listened to or not, will still appear in the user’s Inbox to be referred back to later, if needed.
